Authenticated data access via unchecked tool dispatch
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Missing authorization in sooperset MCP Atlassian before 0.22.0 allows remote authenticated users to invoke filtered tools. The tools/list path applies ENABLED_TOOLS and TOOLSETS, but tools/call resolves names from the full registry without rechecking either restriction. Access to a multi-user HTTP endpoint and knowledge of a hidden tool name are sufficient to read, modify, or delete Jira and Confluence data under the server's credentials.
