Unauthenticated SSRF via DNS rebinding race
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
SSRF in MCP Atlassian before 0.22.0 allows remote attackers to reach internal services or metadata through a rebinding hostname. validate_url_for_ssrf checks the first DNS answer, but Requests and urllib3 resolve the hostname again at connection time without pinning the validated address. Unauthenticated access to the HTTP MCP endpoint is sufficient, and successful exploitation can expose internal-service or cloud-metadata responses.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
