CVE-2026-7720Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via langType injection

Published May 4, 2026 · Updated May 4, 2026

Command injection in the WA300 setLanguageCfg handler in TOTOLINK firmware 5.2cu.7112_B20190227 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The setLanguageCfg function in /cgi-bin/cstecgi.cgi places the attacker-controlled langType POST value into an operating-system command without neutralizing command syntax. Valid management access is required, and successful exploitation runs arbitrary commands with the CGI process privileges on the network appliance.
