Unauthenticated service disruption via metrics upload
Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 8, 2026
Missing authentication in Commvault Cloud Private Metrics Server allows remote attackers to interrupt service via metrics uploads. The metrics upload function accepts network requests without authenticating the sender, allowing untrusted data to reach processing that affects availability. A reachable server is exploitable without credentials or user interaction; Commvault reports service-availability loss and limited metrics integrity impact.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
