CVE-2026-77087Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Drive-by command execution via DNS rebinding

Published Aug 21, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026

Command execution in Paperclip before 0.3.1 allows remote attackers to run arbitrary commands through browser-based DNS rebinding. In default local_trusted mode, authentication middleware grants every request instance-admin identity while the hostname guard omits Host validation, so rebound requests can create and wake a process-adapter agent. A developer must visit an attacker-controlled page while a local instance is running; the spawned command runs with the Paperclip server OS user's permissions.
