Unauthenticated moderator access via unchecked REST routes
Published Aug 29, 2026 · Updated Aug 29, 2026
Missing authorization in HEL Online Classroom through 1.0.3 allows remote attackers to obtain signed moderator join links via REST routes. The plugin exposes classroom REST operations without authorization checks and fails to validate each classroom's access code before signing a meeting join URL. No WordPress account is required; any network client that can reach the routes can enter an arbitrary classroom with moderator privileges.
