Classroom redirection via unauthenticated settings write
Published Aug 29, 2026 · Updated Aug 29, 2026
Improper access control in HigherEdLab HEL Online Classroom 1.0.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to overwrite plugin settings. The settings-saving handler accepts unauthenticated requests without authorization checks and persists attacker-supplied service endpoints and signing secrets. Any network-reachable affected installation can have every classroom redirected to attacker-chosen infrastructure, disrupting trusted session routing.
