Cross-site scripting via unescaped Palette attributes
Published Aug 31, 2026 · Updated Aug 31, 2026
Cross-site scripting in affected Apache Wicket releases allows remote authenticated users to execute script through crafted Palette data. AbstractOptions writes names and values returned by getAdditionalAttributes directly into option tags without HTML attribute escaping. Exposure requires an application override of an additional-attribute method to return attacker-influenced data; the defaults return null, so unchanged Palette use is not affected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.0.0 <=10.10.0
- Affected versionversion=8.0.0 <=8.18.0
- Affected versionversion=9.0.0 <=9.23.0
