CVE-2026-76967

User-context code execution via startup data deserialization

Published Sep 8, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026

Insecure deserialization in SAP NetWeaver Business Client 8.00 and 8.10 allows local users to execute code at application startup. During startup, the client processes specially crafted locally stored data without sufficient validation, permitting arbitrary code execution in the launching user's context. A low-privileged local user must first replace that stored data; execution occurs when the application is next launched and can read, modify, or disrupt user-accessible resources.
