Stack corruption via unbounded sscanf token parsing
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Netcore NR255-V 1.5.130703 allows remote attackers to corrupt stack memory via crafted HTTP input. The reboot_timer_set.cgi handler parses attacker-controlled tokens with sscanf without enforcing the destination stack buffer's bounds. Network access to the web-management endpoint is required; no public evidence establishes whether corruption causes a crash or enables code execution.
