Stack corruption via unbounded MAC and ID tokenization
Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 15, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Netcore NR255-V 1.5.130703 allows remote attackers to corrupt program memory via crafted MAC and ID values. The wake_up_set.cgi handler tokenizes attacker-controlled MAC and ID input without bounding writes to a stack buffer. The affected endpoint must be network-reachable; the public record establishes memory corruption but not code execution or a specific crash outcome.
