API resource access via unencoded path identifiers
Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026
Path injection in Mercado Pago Node.js SDK 3.4.0 and earlier allows attackers to access API resources within a merchant token's scope. Payment, refund, advanced-payment, and disbursement-refund clients insert caller-supplied identifiers into URL templates without percent-encoding reserved characters, allowing path normalization or query injection to redirect authenticated requests. Reachability requires an integrating application to pass an untrusted identifier without an ownership check; resulting access remains bounded by the merchant token's permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
