Environment-variable disclosure via repeated fuzz evaluation
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Expression injection in ProjectDiscovery Nuclei before 3.10.0 allows remote attackers to read scanner-host environment variables. The DAST/fuzz path in pkg/fuzz/parts.go evaluates extractor-substituted response data again, reinterpreting attacker markers as template syntax. Exploitation requires a multi-step DAST or fuzz template that reuses internal extractor output and explicit -env-vars enablement; disclosed data can include credentials, API keys, and tokens.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
