Local file read via workflow gate bypass
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Improper access control in ProjectDiscovery Nuclei before 3.10.0 allows attackers to read host files through an untrusted workflow. The workflow loader resolves and executes referenced file-protocol templates without applying the -file capability check enforced by the main loader. Exploitation requires an operator or SDK integration to execute an attacker-supplied workflow; the bypass discloses readable files from the scanner host.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
