Authenticated directory enumeration via folder traversal
Published May 3, 2026 · Updated May 3, 2026
Path traversal in COCO Annotator 0.11.0 through 0.11.1 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate host directories. The Data endpoint in backend/webserver/api/datasets.py joins the unvalidated folder parameter to a filesystem path, allowing traversal outside the dataset root. Any authenticated account can browse directories readable by the server process; the published impact is directory information disclosure only.
