Authenticated command execution via VPN server overflow
Published May 3, 2026 · Updated May 3, 2026
Buffer overflow in the LBT-T300-HW1 web interface, versions 1.2.0 through 1.2.8, allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The reselov_vpn_server routine retrieves attacker-controlled vpn_pptp_server or vpn_l2tp_server data through nvram_get, and the resulting value overruns its stack buffer. Low-privileged access to the network-reachable management interface is required, and successful exploitation executes arbitrary commands on the router.
