Root file-system access via maintenance restore
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
Access control failure in HPE Aruba Networking Analytics and Location Engine through 5.0.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to access files as root. The maintenance restore function grants root-level file-system access, but HPE has not published the request handling or validation failure that causes the bypass. Exploitation requires authenticated network access and permits unauthorized file-system access that can fully compromise the appliance.
