CVE-2026-76685Network attack vector

Remote code execution via proxy packet integer overflow

Published Sep 15, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026

Buffer overflow in HPE Networking EdgeConnect SD-WAN Gateways allows remote attackers to execute code or interrupt service via crafted packets. The proxy packet-processing logic mishandles malformed or truncated input, allowing a crafted value to trigger an integer overflow and subsequent buffer overflow. Exploitation requires no authentication or user interaction but has high complexity; successful attacks execute remote code or disrupt gateway service.
