CVE-2026-76649

Unauthenticated UPnP interruption via malformed SOAP action

Published Aug 28, 2026 · Updated Aug 28, 2026

NULL pointer dereference in TP-Link TL-WR841N v14 allows remote attackers to crash the UPnP daemon with a crafted SOAP action request. The UPnP SOAP action parser mishandles unexpected XML content and dereferences a NULL pointer, terminating the daemon. Adjacent-network access is sufficient without authentication or user interaction, and UPnP remains unavailable until the service restarts or the router reboots.
