Authenticated command execution via log_email_server
Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Command injection in TRENDnet TEW-755AP 20260702 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute shell commands via log_email_server. The log_email_server handler in /cgi-bin/email.cgi accepts attacker-controlled input and the public PoC shows that shell metacharacters can be appended to that value so additional commands run on the device. VulDB scored the flaw with PR:L, so reachability depends on access to the management interface or another path to the CGI endpoint; the published evidence supports command execution and a public PoC, but not confirmed in-the-wild exploitation.
