Stored XSS via unescaped sidebar description
Published Sep 10, 2026 · Updated Sep 10, 2026
Stored XSS in OTWthemes Sidebar Manager Light 1.18 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject scripts through sbm_description. The sidebar action handlers accept sbm_description without sufficient input sanitization, then the sidebar listing renders the stored value without output escaping. No authentication is required to store the payload, and the script runs in the browser of any user who opens the affected sidebar page, enabling actions in that user's WordPress session.
