Unauthenticated admin access via URI-encoded API request
Published Sep 30, 2026 · Updated Sep 30, 2026
Authentication bypass in Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN Manager allows remote attackers to access its management API as admin via crafted HTTP requests. Its session-based API authentication handling fails to apply an endpoint restriction to a URI-encoded request, allowing that request past the authentication rule. Exploitation requires network access to the management API but no account; the resulting API access carries admin privileges. The supplied CVE identifier has no retrievable public record, so affected releases cannot be verified.
