Container control via unchecked REST handlers
Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Missing authorization in Splunk AI Toolkit before 6.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to control containers and alter configuration data. Multiple container and connection management REST handlers process low-privileged requests without enforcing the required role checks. A valid low-privileged Splunk account without the admin or power role is sufficient to start, stop, or configure containers and to read or modify connection and configuration data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
