Directory disclosure and modification via LDAP filter injection
Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
LDAP filter injection in Splunk AD LDAP before 2.3.8 allows remote authenticated users to read and modify Active Directory objects. Action parameters are incorporated into Active Directory queries without neutralizing LDAP filter metacharacters, allowing crafted filters to change query scope or targets. A Splunk SOAR role permitted to run actions is required; exposure is limited to directory data and operations available to the configured LDAP bind account.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
