Arbitrary database access via unneutralized API input
Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026
SQL injection in Splunk SOAR before 8.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to read and modify all database data through automation APIs. The playbook automation data APIs incorporate user-controlled values into database queries without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing arbitrary statements. Access requires the Automation Engineer role; successful exploitation permits creation, reading, updating, or deletion of database records.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
