Privilege misuse via stored sparkline XSS

Stored XSS in Splunk Enterprise sparkline options before 9.4.14, 10.0.9, 10.2.6, and 10.4.2 lets attackers run script in a viewer browser. Splunk Web accepts sparkline format options beyond safe presentation settings and renders tooltip values without escaping, so attacker-controlled content reaches the browser as active script. Exploitation requires a user with the power Splunk role to plant the dashboard content and then induce another user to view it; an admin viewer exposes Splunk Web data and actions available to that session.
