Path traversal in Splunk Enterprise before 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14 allows remote attackers to read JavaScript files via static file requests. Splunk Web's static file serving logic does not confine requested paths to the configured static directory, so attacker-supplied paths can resolve outside that root. The issue is reachable without authentication when Splunk Web is enabled and the published advisory bounds the impact to JavaScript file disclosure, with no stated arbitrary file read or code execution path.
