Unauthorized search execution via time-value SPL injection

SPL injection in Splunk Enterprise before 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14 lets remote authenticated users run searches via time values. The saved-search dispatch REST API accepts caller-supplied dispatch.earliest_time and dispatch.latest_time strings and does not neutralize them before using them in saved-search dispatch. Exploitation requires an authenticated role below Splunk's admin or power roles that can reach saved-search dispatch; successful injection can read or modify data reachable through that search context, but the advisory does not describe host-level code execution.
