CVE-2026-76325Network attack vector

Stored XSS via app-namespace ui-tour

Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026

Stored XSS in Splunk Enterprise before 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14 lets remote authenticated users run JavaScript via shared ui-tour objects. Splunk Web resolves auto-tour entries from the app namespace and builds the tour image from untrusted ui-tour content, so attacker-supplied markup stored in a knowledge object is rendered in another user's browser. Exploitation requires the power role, Splunk Web enabled, and another authenticated user to visit a standard Splunk Web page; the script then runs with that viewer's session and data access.
