Unauthorized data access via archive download
Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 21, 2026
Splunk Enterprise before 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14 lets remote attackers read report-owner data via an embedded report token. The embedded-report authorization flow does not stop dispatch-archive download requests before the archive starts streaming, so a token holder can retrieve archived session material from the report search job. Exploitation requires possession of a valid embedded report token and reaches the report owner's available permissions, which can include integrity-impacting actions on the instance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
