CVE-2026-76232Public exploit

Host command execution via unquoted Helm repository

Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026

Command injection in Mend.io Renovate 31.51.0 through 40.32.7 allows remote authenticated users to execute host commands via crafted Chart.yaml files. The generateLoginCmd function in lib/modules/manager/helmv3/common.ts interpolates the repository value, or its derived host part, into helm registry login shell commands without shlex quoting. Exploitation requires write access to a scanned repository and configuration that makes helmv3 perform an authenticated registry login; injected commands run with Renovate's host privileges.
