Application crash via NULL pointer dereference
Published Sep 22, 2026 · Updated Sep 22, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in Adobe InDesign 20.5.4 and earlier and 21.5 and earlier allows attackers to crash the application via a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the affected file parser or the operation that leaves a pointer null before it is dereferenced. Exploitation requires a user to open the file, and the documented consequence is limited to termination of that application instance.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
