CVE-2026-76189Hinoki check available

Application crash via out-of-range timestamp conversion

Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 27, 2026

Integer underflow in Adobe C2PA Tool 0.26.70 and earlier and Content Credentials Rust SDK 0.89.0 and earlier allows local users to trigger a crash. During manifest timestamp validation, GeneralizedTime conversion calls expect on an attacker-controlled PKCS#9 signing time outside DER's 1970–9999 range, panicking instead of returning an error. Processing a crafted C2PA asset is sufficient; no privileges or user interaction are required, and the bounded impact is interruption of the consuming process.
