Query parameter injection via unescaped path substitution
Published Oct 15, 2026 · Updated Oct 15, 2026
Query parameter injection in Eclipse Jetty allows remote attackers to alter forwarded query parameters through crafted request paths. TryPathsHandler and TryFilesFilter substitute request paths into configured query templates without escaping query delimiters, turning path content into additional parameters. Exposure requires a query-bearing forwarding template; further consequences depend on how the destination application uses those parameters.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
