Administrator session compromise via unsanitized notification templates
Published Sep 3, 2026 · Updated Sep 3, 2026
Stored XSS in OCS Inventory NG Ocsreports 2.12.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in administrators' sessions. The /ocsreports/?function=notification template view stores administrator-supplied HTML and renders it for other administrators without sanitization. Administrator privileges are required to plant content, and another administrator must open the customization view, exposing that session to script-driven data access or actions.
