Auditor-level code execution via unsafe agent upgrades
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
Remote code execution in Genian NAC and Genian ZTNA allows remote authenticated users to run code through the agent upgrade feature. The management console's AgentUpgrade feature insufficiently validates ZIP archive paths and upgrade permissions, allowing traversal during extraction. Auditor-level console access is required; the resulting execution crosses that role's intended privilege boundary.
