Dangerous file upload via extension-only validation
Published Oct 1, 2026 · Updated Oct 1, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Genians SSL PNS before 5.0.0 allows local users to upload a nonofficial patch file through the patch upload process. The server accepts a file labeled .svi or .jar without verifying that its contents match an official patch, affecting frodo-core and watchcat-ui. The attack requires high privileges and access to the patch upload flow; neither the vendor nor the CNA documents execution of the uploaded file.
