CVE-2026-76139Network attack vector

Build compromise via unpinned remote script

Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026

Code execution in acm-operator-bundle in Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes lets attackers tamper with bundle builds via a remote script. The build workflow fetches and executes stolostron/release from the unpinned master branch without authenticity or integrity checks, exposing GitHub and registry credentials to attacker-controlled code. Exploitation requires influence over that external source or its delivery path and affects build infrastructure and shipped bundle integrity rather than a running cluster's data plane.
