CVE-2026-7608Public exploit

Authenticated command execution via diagnostic ping parameter

Published May 2, 2026 · Updated May 2, 2026

OS command injection in TRENDnet TEW-821DAP 1.12B01 allows remote authenticated users on an adjacent network to execute commands. The ssi program's tools_diagnostic function inserts the AJAX POST ip_addr value into a shell-built ping command after only web-page regex validation. A low-privilege authenticated session and adjacent-network access are required; shell metacharacters permit arbitrary code execution or a device service interrupt.
