CVE-2026-76071Public exploitNetwork attack vectorHinoki check available

Unauthenticated root code execution via widthless scansets

Published Aug 24, 2026 · Updated Aug 24, 2026

Stack overflow in Netis NC63 firmware through 3.0.0.3327 allows remote attackers to execute code as root via an oversized destHost value. The ipFilterList=mod path in netis.cgi passes the field to widthless sscanf scansets that copy into 16-byte stack buffers and overwrite saved return state. No authentication was required in the validated CGI path, and the root-run Boa environment turns control-flow hijacking into full router compromise.
