Arbitrary code execution via hard-coded firmware identifiers

Firmware authentication bypass in TRENDnet TEW-821DAP 1.12B01 allows remote attackers to upload compromised firmware over the network. The ssi program's find_hwid and new_gui_update_firmware functions extract an image hardware ID into dest and compare it with three hard-coded identifiers instead of verifying a cryptographic signature. No privileges or user interaction are required, but exploitation has high complexity and permits arbitrary code execution or a service interruption.
