Sandbox escape via post-show Browser use-after-free
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026
Use-after-free in Browser in Google Chrome before 151.0.7922.169 on macOS allows remote attackers to run code outside the sandbox via crafted HTML. The fixing Chromium commit ties the flaw to ConsentDialogCoordinator::Show(), where ShowBrowserModal() can enter a nested macOS run loop and let the owning browser, profile, or coordinator be destroyed before dialog_widget_ is written. Exploitation requires user interaction with attacker-controlled web content on macOS, and the disclosed impact is arbitrary code execution beyond the renderer sandbox.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
