CVE-2026-76035Network attack vector

Sandbox escape via Media implementation flaw

Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026

Inappropriate implementation in Media in Google Chrome before 151.0.7922.169 on Mac allows remote attackers to execute code via crafted HTML. Public records name the vulnerable component only as Media and do not disclose the specific code path or incorrect operation on attacker-controlled content beyond improper handling of a crafted page. Exploitation requires a target to open attacker-supplied web content on macOS, and the published impact is code execution outside Chrome's sandbox rather than a browser-only crash or information leak.
