CVE-2026-76017Network attack vector

Sandbox escape via Chromoting use after free

Published Aug 20, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026

Use after free in Chromoting in Google Chrome before 151.0.7922.173 allows remote attackers to execute code outside the sandbox. Google has disclosed only that Chromoting uses freed memory during network-driven processing and has not published the vulnerable function, object lifetime path, or patch diff. Public records name only crafted network traffic to the affected remoting component as the trigger, and the disclosed consequence is code execution beyond the renderer sandbox boundary.
