Device crash via strcpy of pvid
Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in UTT HiPER 1250GW 3.2.7-210907-180535 allows remote authenticated users to crash the device via pvid. In /goform/aspApBasicConfigUrcp, the HTTP handler enters the setApVlanId path and copies the pvid parameter with strcpy into a fixed stack buffer without length validation. Reachability requires access to the web management interface; the public proof of concept sends an authenticated POST request, and public sources describe denial of service rather than code execution.
