Authenticated command execution via shell-string concatenation
Published May 2, 2026 · Updated May 2, 2026
OS command injection in ArtMin96 Yii2 MCP Server 1.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands through MCP tool calls. The yii_command_help and yii_execute_command handlers concatenate attacker-controlled commands and arguments into shell strings passed to child_process.exec without escaping or argument separation. Reachability requires MCP tool access, a valid Yii console script, initialized database configuration, PHP CLI, and a host shell; injected commands inherit the server process's privileges.
