Authenticated command execution via hostname NVRAM poisoning

Command injection in /cgi-bin/admin.cgi in TRENDnet TEW-823DRU 1.1.02b01 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands via the hostname parameter. A published technical report states that the web handler stores attacker-controlled hostname data in NVRAM, and the sbin/rc component later passes nvram_get("hostname") output to system or _system without sanitization. Reachability depends on access to the router's management interface, which the published CVSS vectors rate as low-privilege authenticated access; the public PoC triggers execution after the poisoned setting is processed during reboot.
