Editor-level option tampering via unrestricted field_name key
Published Aug 25, 2026 · Updated Aug 25, 2026
Missing authorization in ThimPress LearnPress 4.4.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter site-wide WordPress options. LP_Admin_Ajax::create_page() accepts field_name without a LearnPress option allowlist, and LP_Helper::create_page() passes it to update_option() as the option key. Editor access and a valid REST nonce are required; each request writes a new page ID, which can enable registration, disable plugins, or corrupt other settings.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
