Stored XSS via unescaped contributor comments
Published Sep 9, 2026 · Updated Sep 9, 2026
Stored XSS in Podlove Podcast Publisher 4.5.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts via contributor comments. The episode-contributor save path writes the comment to a plugin-managed table without adequate sanitization, and its Twig template emits the value without context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access and permission to edit posts are sufficient; the script runs when affected content is viewed, enabling browser-context data access or actions.
