Access PIN disclosure via insufficient credential protection
Published Aug 26, 2026 · Updated Aug 26, 2026
Credential exposure in Rently Smart Home 20.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to retrieve access PINs, including the Master PIN. Public records do not identify the endpoint, request, storage location, or protection failure that exposes the PIN values. Low-privileged network access is required, and possession of the Master PIN overrides standard user permissions for connected access-control devices.
